After breakfast drive to Lahore enroute proceed for Guru Ka Darshan at Nankana Sahib. A town and the sub divisional head quarter of the district Sheikhupura of west Punjab in Pakistan. Situated about eighty (80) kilometers to the west of Lahore and thirty (30) kilometers from the river Ravi, to its north, it lies in most fertile verdant plains of the Punjab. The name of the place at that time was Rai Bhoi di Talwandi. The landlord contemporary of Guru Nanak Dev was Rai Bular, who himself became a devotee of the Guru. It was renamed Nankana after the Guru. There are several shrines connected with the memory of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's childhood and early youth here. Later Guru Arjan dev and Guru Hargobind also visited Nankana Sahib and a Gurudwara was also raised subsequently in their honor.
Yatra at Janam Asthan of Baba Jee Guru Nanak Sahib at Gurdawara Nankana Sahib and other holy places associated with Guru Nanak Sahib & Guru Arjun Dev Sahib, Gurdawara Bal Lila, Pati Sahib, Tanbu Sahib, Maiji, and Kaira Sahib beside Nahjan Sahib. Before return to Lahore Matha Tekna at Gurdawara Sacha Sauda. This holy place is situated at a distance of 37 miles from Lahore on the Lahore-Lyallpur Railway Line. Guru Nanak was sent by Mehta Kalu with a sum of Rs.20/- to teach him the know-how of the business. On the way to his destination, the Guru happened to meet certain sadhus who seemed to be hungry. The Guru responded well to the occasion and got prepared a langer for the sadhus. Mehta Kalu felt annoyed. Where Guru Nanak Ji fed the sadhus, now stands a magnificent Gurudwara that was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh, on the pattern of a fortress. The building of the Gurudwara is very beautiful. The very impression of the Darshani Deorhi attracts the congregations. In the beginning, the service of the Gurudwara was in the hands of Udhasis. The management came under the Panthic administration after the Gurudwara Reform Movement. After the partition of the country; the Gurudwara remain closed for the congregations, but on the occasion of the Baisakhi in April 1993, the sangats were allowed to pay homage to the Gurudwara.
